But that's not because my porn name used to be Donny Downer -- no connection.

Loved the Kids In The Hall (just never liked this character). And just so you know, Dude, all Canadians are just that funny. Actually, I'm considered to be a bit of a downer in my country.

Fine example of the classic war propaganda that spawned such characters as Wonder Woman. It had a certain purpose back then but it's just funny now. We need to stop getting so bent out of shape over racism and treat it with the contempt that it deserves

Citing context of the cultural mores of that era is just another way of saying that teh ends justify the means, and I don't believe they ever do. The consequences of using racism for propaganda are long lasting and can harm in ways that far outlast wars.

weeelll.. if you can't find anything "wrong" with those, then surely you can't disapprove of the posters and videos that Taliban and Al-Qaeda use nowadays...

Oh, come on, MWLF - getting to be a post-hoc, PC, bleeding-heart liberal in your old age? "Why we fight" was a series of propaganda movies intended to raise popular support amongst Americans for the US involvement in WWII. Context, old boy.
