super heroes aren't the ones that follow orders from the super villain.
N'wah - September 22, 2008, 10:07 pm,
They are the ones that keep you, your brother, or your father from being drafted. Sounds pretty super to me.
Dude - October 23, 2008, 3:54 pm,
Being a meat shield is not a super power. Therefore, they're not superheroes. Please reapply for "regular hero" status.

Unless you count Meat Shield Man..Only had one comic ever printed, though.

If they were superheros they would have unique costumes, and not die as much. They're just soldiers, normal, boring, easily killed soldiers.

Men & Women who serve allow you/us to post our opinions here and anywhere else we choose. These folks should be thanked for giving us the freedoms we have, even at the sacrifice of their lives. The young girl has chosen her role models well.

barockeva - Please crawl back under whatever rock you came from. They aren't normal or boring and they never die easily. Their uniforms (costumes) are unique. Each one is adorned differently with badges of rank and bravery. They all are superheros.

I have to agree. I've seen this sight twice upon returning from Deployment. It's the most emotional expierence of your life. We leave everything, and come back Family. We care nothing for looks or medals. Just each other. That kid understands oh too well.

DevilDoc - welcome to Motifake. Thanks for serving.

I too have seen the sight twice. Upon returning from Desert Storm and Kosovo. I agree that the deeds done are not for the medals or acolades but afterwards if someone didn't get a ribbon or a promotion they felt they deserved, there were some hard feelings

I'm all for the troops... regardless of the branch. orders, duty or location. If the shameful Vietnam protest taught us anything, it's to never turn your back on a single member of the armed services.

They are only in it for themselves. It just so happens to be a socially useful profession. Or should I say ec perhaps onomically useful. Talk about self-agrandizement.
