The Canucks kicked their ass rightfully so; after all America started the war by invading Canada. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_1812

How could someone forget the British burning the White House to the ground the second time they went to war with the US? It's mentioned "only" in the US anthem lyrics. Who actually pays atention to them?

This maybe a dum questin, when was the war of 1812?

Arrogance, most americans have it. Here are the facts. 1. War for Independence--French, Dutch, and Spanish allies. 2. War of 1812--no allies, but no clear victory either. 3. Mexican War--no allies; significant USA victory leading to massive land

the second largest group of non-Vietnamese soldiers. War ends with defeat of South Viet Nam--no USA victory. So, "How many wars has America fought and how many has it won without foreign help?" I count 1 out of the big 8 foreign wars: the Mexican wa

Extra info: 1. there are NO WINNERS in a civil war, EVER. 2. between WW2 and Iraq there have been more then a few "armed conflics", most having to do with either A: Against to Commies or B: USA policeman of the world. But in all cases following "what is

Vietnam...France got us into that one...they hide that kind of information in books jackass. Try living some life instead of spending all day on this website.

I hate these stupid war debates so I'll end this now: American Revolution, win through persistance; Barbary War, win though diplomacy; Quasi France war, quickly forgotten by Jefferson...
Roamer - September 1, 2008, 10:32 pm,
... War of 1812; win by raping Britain (after a few serious losses); Civil War, Win/Loss; nobody wins those; WWI; Allied forces win, raped Germany; WWII, Allied win, raped Italy, Germany, and nuked Japan...
TheDonCymru - July 27, 2011, 6:09 am,
so let me get this straight, US invades British held Canada; The US gets thrown out of canada by british troops (who are at the time engaged in a real war against France); they then proceed to burn down your capital.... and you class this as a win?
TheDonCymru - July 27, 2011, 6:17 am,
One more thing! Joining a war half-way through on the side that is winning after spending the first half of the war selling arms to both sides does not count as a win either. The British won both world wars, no matter what hollywood says...
Roamer - September 1, 2008, 10:37 pm,
... forgot Spanish American War; win, raped Mexico and won Southwest US; Several Indian (Native Americans) Wars; Always won; Korea, Draw; Bay of Pigs, loss, Cuba caught wind...
Roamer - September 1, 2008, 10:39 pm,
... Vietnam; draw, Panama; win, Gulf War; Kicked Iraq's ass first time, Afghanistan/Iraq; unfinished... Any questions?
Yes, what crack are you smoking? - November 13, 2008, 8:12 pm,
Wietnam was NOT a draw, was an utter defeat. 1812 was an US defeat even if England and Canada didn't conquer any land. And if you count Panama as a "win", you must count Somalia as a loss, too

I like it when a commenter never uses a made-up one-time name. Obviously afraid of having more than just the comments on this poster outed as stupid.

Why don't we bring up England's war record. I'm sure it's much better than the US.
